stupid people make me defend Obama or Romney. I hate both of them so much but saying Obama is a socialist who is destroying this country is idiotic. Is he good president, hell no he’s terrible. And yes Romney was a bully in highs school, but who stays the same after highs school? People change a lot over 40 years, using something against him from Highs School.  Now I hate Romney and Obama but if you’re going to use arguments against them, at least be smart about it. Talk about their voting record or their standing on positions. Why are we arguing about dogs being strapped to a car, or if Obama was really born in Hawaii or not?

That being said, I might as well put that if you also don’t like Obama or Romney, check out the following candidates that are running in other parties.

Libertarian: Gary Johnson  (<— The guy I’m voting for)
Green: (No Nominee picked Yet)
Constitutional Party: Virgil Goode
Boston Tea Party(actual Political party):  Jim Duensing

Objectivist Party: Tom Stevens

"Their livelihood was being threatened, and they were tired of waiting for government help, so business owners and residents on Hawaii’s Kauai island pulled together and completed a $4 million repair job to a state park — for free.

Polihale State Park has been closed since severe flooding destroyed an access road to the park and damaged facilities in December.

The state Department of Land and Natural Resources had estimated that the damage would cost $4 million to fix, money the agency doesn’t have, according to a news release from department Chairwoman Laura Thielen.

“It would not have been open this summer, and it probably wouldn’t be open next summer,” said Bruce Pleas, a local surfer who helped organize the volunteers. “They said it would probably take two years. And with the way they are cutting funds, we felt like they’d never get the money to fix it.”

And if the repairs weren’t made, some business owners faced the possibility of having to shut down.”

"“Yeah, well, if you think that government is so terrible, why don’t you just pack up your bags and move to SOMALIA!” As a libertarian, I cringe whenever a debate opponent of mine stoops to that certain talking point. "

Ron Paul’s “Imagine” speech brilliantly (and movingly — the guys watching with me got goosebumps) remade into a campaign commercial.

Please watch and spread this if you support Ron Paul.  I don’t explicitly ask you guys to spread many things.  Like, basically never.  Spread this.

If you aren’t sure what you think about foreign policy — or especially if you’re on the hawkish end of the spectrum — please watch it and really do imagine.

How I feel about this.

The US government’s assault against innocent American citizens continues to get more aggressive and just plain strange, with new reports of harassment against honest owners of ordinary lemon trees. Health Freedom Alliance (HFA) reports that officials from the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) are now spying on people whom they suspect are in possession of ordinary lemon trees, and threatening them with excessive fines and even federal raids if they refuse to surrender the plants on demand.

Several years ago, Bridget Donovan, who has now been dubbed “The Lemon Tree Lady,” purchased a Meyer lemon tree from meyerlemontree.com. A resident of Wisconsin, Donovan purchased the tree legally and in full accordance with all federal and state laws regulating citrus transport, and had lovingly cultivated and cared for her indoor citrus plant for nearly three years.

Then, out of nowhere, Donovan received an unexpected letter from the USDA informing her that government officials were going to come and seize her tree and destroy it — and that she was not going to be compensated for her loss. The letter also threatened that if Donovan was found to be in possession of “regulated citrus” again, she could be fined up to $60,000.

I suppose I should discuss my plans as the world’s new king now. First I’ll tell you what words I despise the most. Those words would be “Justice” and “Peace”. I’ll just mention it now, but I have no intention of governing and controlling the people! On the contrary, you can do whatever you like in my kingdom! I hereby abolish the word “peace”. War, violence, robbery, murder! You’re free to do anything! No one will stop you! Criminals! Do what you love to do! We Demon Clansmen will eliminate all who cling to the idea of “justice”! Ours will be a spectacular world overflowing with evil and terror!” -Piccolo Daimao, after becoming King.

Does anyone else think Piccolo Daimao has a remarkably similar political platform to Ron Paul?

Pretty dumb, but I still laughed

NEWSFLASH: Bank Of Americas new fees are a result of FEDERAL GOVERNMENT REGULATION!

This is what “the 99%” don’t get, nobody likes to pay any sort of extra fee, but “the 99%” aren’t smart enough, or won’t take the time to understand WHY these things are happening. You can’t just treat the symptom you have to treat the cause.

Because for some reason that “24 Types of Libertarian” cartoon keeps showing up in the politics tag as if it weren’t over a year old, here’s the best response I’ve seen.  I’m not sure of the source anymore because the Ning network where I first found it is now gone.

Reblogging this again because I love this..
